Ballycastle has the full range of accommodation you’d expect from a coastal town on the Causeway Coastal Route — hotels, guest houses, B&Bs, self-catering cottages, camping and caravan parks, and a youth hostel, mostly concentrated in the town itself and along the coast road toward Ballintoy.

• The Salthouse — waterfront hotel in Ballycastle with two on-site restaurants.
• Marine Hotel, Ballycastle — seafront hotel, currently open and trading (it closed temporarily at one point, so worth confirming directly if it’s been a while since you checked).
• Glass Island, Beechwood Avenue — boutique luxury B&B, ranked #1 of Ballycastle’s B&Bs on TripAdvisor, two minutes’ walk from the harbour and beach.
• The Fullerton Arms, Ballintoy — recently renovated guesthouse and restaurant on the Main Street, with one of the original Game of Thrones doors on display.
• Whitepark Bay Youth Hostel, Ballintoy — now run by Hostelling International Northern Ireland, overlooking Whitepark Bay.
• Watertop Farm — caravan and camping pitches alongside the working farm.
• Limepark, Armoy — restored farmstead self-catering cottages.
• Teach an Cheoil (The Music House), Ballyvoy — north Antrim’s only bilingual Irish-English B&B, hosting kitchen céilís with traditional music, song, and storytelling alongside its rooms.
• Black Knowe, luxury glamping pods with views over Fair Head, sleeping up to four.

Practical notes

For families, several of the self-catering and glamping options above — and Watertop Farm’s camping pitches — suit children better than a hotel room; check directly on pet policies, as these vary property to property and change often. The town is busiest around the Ould Lammas Fair in late August, so book well ahead for that weekend specifically; outside of it, summer (June–August) is peak season generally, with more availability and quieter roads in spring and autumn.

For everything else

Small, family-run B&Bs and guest houses turn over often — new ones open, others retire or change hands — which is exactly why a static list goes stale fast (see the note above).
