Ballypatrick Forest

Ballypatrick Forest is an upland forestry plantation in the Antrim Hills, right on the Causeway Coastal Route (A2) a short drive from Ballycastle, on the way toward Cushendall. It’s one of the larger forest plantations on this stretch of coast, with a mix of open moorland and conifer woodland around the headwaters of the Carey River.

There’s a car park, toilets, a picnic site, and a waymarked circular walking trail right beside the main road — an easy stop if you’re driving the Causeway Coastal Route rather than a destination in its own right, but a pleasant one.
